The evaporator produces evaporated water with excellent features for reuse in the process, generating a flow much higher than its own consumption needs.

The evaporation-crystallization for ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) is mainly a multiple effect evaporation system. This evaporation unit is provided with a final crystallization reactor, allowing an extremely high degree of total concentration in the effluent. 

However it should be noticed that consumption of water in the evaporation equipment should not pose any problem. Because the evaporator itself produces evaporated water of excellent features to be reused in the process, generating a flow much higher than the overall consumption needs.

ZLD systems are recommended by their energy efficiency and optimization of water resources, providing a true zero discharge system.

Reduction of 98% of the factory water consumption. It solves the enviromental issues of almond washing and blanching water.

This technique is a truly zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system. 

In this way, the environmental problems arisen by almond blanching and washing process can be solved at the same time than the reduction of the overall water consumption. 

The technological feasibility of the project has been endorsed by a recognized body such as Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI).

This new technology solves the environmental problem of wastewater from olive oil factories.

This new technique has been developed in cooperation with olive oil factories and AINIA institute of technology. It solves the environmental problem of wastewaters from olive oil factories bringing economical and technical benefits.

By this innovative process the following products are obtained concentrate with high phenolic and fulvic contents.

Continuous dehydration at low cost.

The drying unit by radiant stirrer is developed for continuous drying of materials that need humidity and biological stabilization.

The electric system of the rotary dryer has an electric cabinet in order to: regulate the motors speed, detect and transmit temperature and pressure parameters in the steam jacket and in the body of the dryer. In addition we can modify the parameters from an operation terminal. Built according to CE European standards. 

Possible applications: Industrial sludge drying, Paprika drying and sterilization, Calcium tartrate drying, Potassium bitartrate drying, Sodium sulphate Drying, Active principles drying from medicinal plants.

The evaporator provides a good quality water from evaporated water, and it can be used in the process.

The evaporation unit for liquid waste minimization is composed by a simple effect evaporator with an external multi tube heater. This configuration allows an easier cleaning in case of fouling formation. 

However the consumption of water in this evaporation unit is not a problem because it provides a good quality water from the evaporated water.

This system allows the recovery and purification of the solvents with a very low energetic consumption.

Enocyanin obtention by cold diffusion. Water and alcohol recovery.

Obtained by cold colour diffusion, combined with warm tartaric diffusion The process also includes a multiple effect evaporator equipped with a distillator. 

POMACE PROCESSING

The pomace is processed by warm water diffusion at 75-80 ºC. This process avoids the discharge of wastewater. A high performance press is also incorporated and the vegetation water is suitable to reuse in the diffusion unit.

It allows the extraction of sugars, alcohol and bitartrate by warm diffusion. Zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system.

WINE LEES PROCESSING

The distillation column for wine lees is designed for a high energy performance, low fouling and self-cleaning of distillation plates. It does not need air extraction for the evaporated water, among other improvements.

Calcium tartrate obtained by acidification and neutralization with CaCO3.

Thermal energy consumption reduced by 60% compared to a 3 effects conventional concentrator-desulfitator.

By this new system “TWODSYSTEM” the evaporation and desulfitation stages are distributed in a way that increases the overall yield of steam up to 5 times. This allows decreasing the energy costs by 45% – 55%. The “TWODSYSTEM” respects the technical conditions to assure the organoleptical quality and desulfitation yield at the same time that air and water emissions are way below the maximum legal values. Oobtaining a colorless and clear rectified must containing basically the natural sugars of grape (glucose and fructose). The process ends when pH or conductivity levels exceed a fixed value and the regeneration cycle starts.

By this new system “TWODSYSTEM” the evaporation and desulfitation stages are distributed in a way that increases the overall yield of steam up to 5 times. This allows decreasing the energy costs by 45% – 55%. The “TWODSYSTEM” respects the technical conditions to assure the organoleptical quality and desulfitation yield at the same time that air and water emissions are way below the maximum legal values. This equipment complies with the most demanding requirements.

The evaporated water from the juice contains SO2, and it is an important source of environmental pollution. The equipment includes a desulfitation unit that concentrates the SO2 gas to 98%.
