EXTRACTION
EXTRACTION
Extraction is a basic chemical engineering operation that Grupo Vento has been integrating into its projects for several decades. The first applications were developed to obtain oleoresins, with the commissioning of several industrial plants.

The extraction consists of obtaining -or eliminating- a certain compound contained in some medium (solid or liquid), by means of contact and dissolution in a selective solvent.

It is a unitary mass transfer operation whose design presents a multitude of variables, which are studied by our engineers. Grupo Vento designs and manufactures extraction technology in both fixed and mobile beds (rotary extractors, percolators, extraction by steam distillation, continuous diffusion bands, etc).

Some of the applications of extraction, which is used mainly in the chemical and food industry, consist of obtaining essential oils and active principles from plants, colorants, lipids, etc.
