New project for extraction of essential oils

At Grupo Vento we are pleased to announce our collaboration with a world leading company in the production of essential oils and natural extracts with high added value for industries such as food, chemicals or cosmetics. At this moment we are in the execution phase of its new complex for obtaining essential oils, located in Angola, with a production capacity of approximately 100 kg of a.e. per hour.

Grupo Vento was selected to carry out a turnkey project of a plant for the extraction of essential oils from aromatic plants, by means of the steam distillation process.

The project includes the development of engineering, automation, construction, assembly and commissioning of the facility. At this moment we are in the final phase of the equipment manufacturing stage.

The supply corresponds to several fixed bed extraction units; a unit for dehydration of the essential oils obtained, by means of a vacuum evaporation system with forced recirculation equipped, among other elements, with heat exchangers for energy optimization; as well as a semi-continuous vacuum distillation unit for the final purification of the oil.

Likewise, it also provides the required process tanks, as well as the necessary auxiliary services and all the automation and control elements of the plant. In addition, a pilot plant has been included in the supply, designed for the pilot-scale reproduction of the plant extracts manufacturing processes, prepared to carry out extraction operations by percolation and concentration in the same unit.
